Discord Bots
Use Emberly from any Discord server, claim linked roles, and see how the Emberly server is moderated.
There are two Emberly bots:
- Emberly is the public app. Add it to any server to use your account from Discord, run activity levels, and offer linked roles.
- Warden runs only in the Emberly Discord server. It answers support questions, shows live platform status and keeps the server safe.
The Emberly app
Linking your account
- Open the Uploads tab on your profile and copy your upload token.
- In Discord, run
/link token:<your token>. The reply is only visible to you.
Run /unlink at any time to remove the connection.
Your upload token lets anyone upload as you. Only paste it into /link, never into a normal message. If you regenerate it, run /link again with the new one.
Account commands
These need a linked account and work in any server with the bot, or in DMs.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/profile | Your profile, plan and usage |
/analytics | Views, downloads, clicks and recent uploads |
/files [count] | Your most recent uploads |
/shorten url | Shortens a link with your account |
/domains | Your custom domains and whether they're verified |
/squads | The squads you own or belong to |
/sharex | Sends your ShareX config privately |
Levels
Server admins can turn on activity levels with /levels setup. Members earn points by chatting, get a role for each level, and check their progress with /rank. Points slowly decay after a week without activity. /levels status shows the settings and /levels disable turns levels off and removes the level roles.
Linked roles
Linked roles let a server give roles based on someone's Emberly account. Server admins add a requirement under Server Settings → Roles → (role) → Links → Emberly:
| Requirement | Example |
|---|---|
| Has an Emberly account | Anyone with an account |
| Files uploaded at least N | 100 files for an "Uploader" role |
| Member for at least N days | 365 days for a "Veteran" role |
Members connect from the server menu → Linked Roles, sign in to Emberly, and authorize Discord. Roles reflect the account at the moment of connecting, so connect again later to refresh them.
Warden (the Emberly server)
Help and status
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/status | Status of every component, plus incidents and maintenance |
/faq question [for] | Posts the answer to a common question, optionally mentioning someone |
/docs [topic] [for] | Links a docs page, optionally mentioning someone |
/roles | How to connect Emberly and claim linked roles |
/links | Website, docs, status page, GitHub and support contacts |
The bot's status follows the status page: online when everything is working, idle during minor issues or maintenance, and Do Not Disturb during an outage.
In the support channels, it replies to questions that clearly match a common answer, such as custom domains that won't verify, ShareX setup, or a missing verification email. If the automatic answer doesn't help, a team member will follow up.
AutoMod
To keep the server tidy, the bot removes:
- Links to known scam and malware sites (the sender is timed out for 10 minutes)
- Invite links to other Discord servers
- Messages that mention
@everyone,@hereor five or more people (the sender is timed out for 10 minutes) - The same message posted four times within 10 seconds (the sender is timed out for 10 minutes)
Staff are not affected. Every action is recorded in the server's moderation log.
